Emma Watson and Blake Lively are competing for the principal female role in Incarceron, it has been reported.

Incarceron is adapted from the popular book by Catherine Fisher of the same name, and tells the story of an imprisoned boy and the prison warden's daughter who find a key that leads to freedom for both of them.

Taylor Lautner will play the role of the boy. Meanwhile, Emma Watson and Blake Lively are competing for the role of the warden's daughter, reports MTV News.

In addition to Emma Watson and Blake Lively, Winter's Bone actress Jennifer Lawrence is also rumoured to be a contender for the coveted role.

Incarceron is scheduled to open in 2013.
